As we approach the festive season, FWISD would like to extend warm holiday greetings to all our dedicated educators. December is a time for celebration, reflection, and most importantly, rest. We recognize the incredible effort and passion our teachers have poured into their classrooms throughout the year. The holidays offer a perfect opportunity to recharge, spend quality time with loved ones, and return refreshed for the new year.

Upon returning we'll be focused on integrating interactive digital tools to foster student engagement and personalized learning. We also have new resources available for incorporating AI-driven educational platforms that can help tailor instruction to meet individual student needs. Did you know that Learning.com is a great resource for including Technology Application TEKS activities into your lessons?  Every FWISD K-5 teacher can access a full library of interactive lessons, projects, and activities from the Learning.com link in classlink.  Your classes are even rostered so you can track your students’ progress!

Mr. Mark Karpel, who teaches 8th grade CTE at Rosemont Middle School, has begun making a significant impact by using district-approved tools to introduce his students to real world applications. 

Recently, Mr. Karpel introduced his students to Canva, a district approved online design application, to create a two week project. Students engaged in company research as well as products, milestones and future plans to create brochures. 

Thank you Mr. Karpel for using innovative and unique approaches to keep our students engaged and making the learning process enjoyable while demonstrating practical applications of technology in education.
